Anachronistic Tendencies is for stories about the places we love and the people who made music, made history, and made magic there.

History
We want to tell you about the people who touched a place, the crazy things they did, and how we’re still living with the consequences today. The future is a treasure map, and the clues lie in the cartography of the past.

Travel / Places

Anachronistic Tendencies isn’t entirely a travel guide or a history blog, but it draws from both. You’d need a time machine or scuba gear to get to some of the places we mention. These stories are “deep cuts,” as iTunes would put it: Things you wish you knew about the places you love but won’t find out from your typical guide book or walking tour. We hope you will enjoy these stories entirely even if you never set foot in the places we write about.
